I have been able to turn on subscription capabilities on a Forum basis. Now the problem is that even though subscribed, I am not being notified of replies to my own posts that I'm making on a test basis. I suspect the problem is with the way I've set up the info for the email server. I have two possibilities from my service provider 1. icoming mail (mail.provider.net) and outgoing (smtp.provider.net). Which is the correct to use? I'm afraid that I've tried both ways with still no notification. Am I on the right track? Thanks. -g |

No, no problem with the server. The code does not notify you of your own posts. Why on earth would you need to be notified about something you did? Don't you know you did it ? |

Are you suggesting you never have any questions that, when answered, make you want to jam your head through a wall because of how obvious the answer was? Also try to keep in mind that not everyone who asks questions here is a "seasoned internet user". |

Hi g,
If you are trying to test and make sure your subscriptions are working. I would suggest creating a 2 test user accounts, using them to post. Signup for some yahoo mail to use in their registration. Then you should be able to see how registration works and whether or not it is working. Becuase if you create a topic and reply to it I don't think it will notify you. So testing it this way will not really work.
Many blessings,
Sacred
