A noob to all this forum stuff, but this is after a couple weeks work. Plenty more to add and change.

Looks nice. You've done quite a lot, and the forums are quite fast, even with those MODs installed. Good work |

Hey, that's pretty good job you did
Only thing I would suggest is to change the header, MOD it a little, and change the default login/logout icons. |

I like the icon set you have, however the PM icon does look a little out of place. Overall it looks really good. I just wish I was better with the graphics - so I could remake all of the icons for my site... |

Thanks for the compliments. I am currently working on a header but am having a heck of a time with it (even bought an ASP book). I really like the header here but I just cannot get mine even close to that. It's just kinda mush and creates tables where I don't want them and such.
If you care to take a look here is the inc_header text file so far.
Thanks! |

Thank you Dave! I really like your forum. Very easy on the eyes and colorful also. I am still working with the header on mine and I appreciate you posting the code.
Could you post a link to the code in the header for the second website ( http://railway.www4.dotnetplayground.com/snitz3.4) ? I like that too. It is just text, rather than all the tables and such, but I like how everything is arranged.
Thanks! |

Hey, your forum looks very nice! I like the colour combination. It would be cool if you install Active Users as well.
And By the way, I co-own FSQ Forums |

Have you considered using the header that the rest of the site has, the site integration mod would make it really simple to do this. |

Thanks Dave! I appreciate it.
Thanks for compliments Faizan, and actually I do have active users installed, but it is only visable if you are logged in. Maybe I'll change that. I'm also working on integrating that with the header with a file I found in these forums called inc_activeusers_pm.asp. Not sure which thread but it's very nice.
Integrate it with my main site? Hmmm... Haven't thought about that. Thanks for the suggestion UGBC. I'll look into that. |

Dave, just to let you know, I used the header from your railway-forum and jazzed it up a little with icons and kind of combined it with your fsqforums header. I think it fits right in with the site now. Let me know what you think. And of course like you said, it looks a lot better if you log in.

Thanks again! Also, take a look at the Search page if you go there and see if you have any idea what that is all about?? I have no idea. |

Hey! This looks soo...... COOL! Where did you get your gradients from? I can't find good images for gradients. I looked in phpBB's & IPB's gradient images as well, they were quite good, but where did you get yours from?
WELL DONE!!! You've done a wonderful job! |

Thanks Fazain! I appreciate your input! Plenty more I want to do, but over time... I am currently studying as a Padiwan so must split my time with that .
As for the gradients, I created those with Fireworks (I use Dreamweaver on my regular site) and would be glad to make you some if you want. I have the template set up so I can just choose the gradient colors (to and from, and the lighting "effect") and save it as a gif file. Let me know what colors you want, and I will create them for you. Or I would be glad to send you the Fireworks template I have set up if you want. It should work in Photoshop.
Thanks again! |
