Newsletter MOD from a Website

This is a challenge, at least for me... and that's why I'm here, to mess up with your gifted minds. 
We've all seen Davio's Poll MOD and how he made it work from a website running on a different server from which the Forums Poll MOD is, without having to set up an additional database.
Now take the Newsletter MOD and make it work from a website as well. I know is not going to take just a couple of minutes to make it work, but what did you expect, an easy one  
Any ideas
