Snitz 3.4.03 on Windows 2000 with Active Directory on a private network. Autologin and NT authentication turned on.
IE 5 or better works fine. Netscape 7.02 returns logon error,
**************************************************************************************** HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration Internet Information Services -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technical Information (for support personnel) Background: This is usually caused by a server-side script not sending the proper WWW-Authenticate header field. Using Active Server Pages scripting this is done by using the AddHeader method of the Response object to request that the client use a certain authentication method to access the resource. ******************************************************************************************
I see that the Netscape NT Authentication issue hasn't been brought up since mid 2001. Has this been corrected? Is this a Snitz code issue or a browser version issue?
gosh ... I don't know. But I don't think that Integrated Windows Authentication is supported in Netscape. I might be wrong though. Try checking both Integrated Windows and Basic Authentication for the forum folder and see what happens.
