I am trying to find the part of Topic.asp that is causing me a problem...

When reading a thread, it seems as though clicking on the members name who posted a post works - however - if you click on the member name at the top of the thread - i.e. in the very first post - who started the thread - it states -

There was a problem

Invalid Member ID

It only occurs with the first post in the thread....

the link on the topic (the first post) doesn't have a MemberID at all:

you've probably modified the file and mixed something up...

... moving to the proper forum...

again, I am lost with this though...

am I on the right lines that it is only Topic.asp that is been incorrectly modified....

anyone got any ideas - which area I should scout around in that file ??
