Wow, now there's a radical change!! 
I have not posted in this thread because everything that could be said, had been, both good and bad about your forums.
I want to be the first to compliment you on the new look! Very easy on the eyes and it focuses your attention on the content, rather than the layout. Not exactly the effect you were originally looking for, but who cares, it works. 
Looks great Reeceecup and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so. This will very possibly end the "constructive criticism" that you did not seem to care for throughout this thread.
