You mean, you guys didn't know that? Yeah, we don't allow that kind of url to be used in an image tag. |

On the TKC site go to the Statistics Image Generator site and go to their forum. Send dotcomguy a PM. You first need to register on the graphix site, not just the forum.
Here is a PM from him. quote: These links have to be tied to a member account in the database. So, you'll need to sign up before I can add this link for you. The signup form can be found here: http://www.statgfx.com/statgfx/members/signup.cgi
After signing up, send me your username and I can then add the link for you.
I just got this tonight and it seems to be working well so far. |

I'll elaborate a bit further regarding this upcoming feature.
Eventually, there will be a member's area on the Statgfx web site giving access to special, members-only features. One of which, will be the ability to save links to Statgfx images. It will be a list of favorites, if you will. This can be useful in a number of ways:
1. Many people will have multiple images with different services and /or different configurations that they would like to have remembered. Then at a later time they can go back and view them. 2. Some of these saved links can be set to use in a random image script. So, if you link to the script, you will get one of your saved images in random order 3. It is possible to link directly to a long complex URL with another, shorter, URL can be used that does not contain any of the characters that many forums are set up to deny. You only have to tell the script
So, we can take something like this: http://www.statgfx.com/statgfx/tkc/?&template=TKCoriginal1&username=Cliff and use something like this instead: http://www.statgfx.com/statgfx/9.jpg
In this case, the number "9" is the ID of that URL in the database. Using PATH_INFO that way fools the forum into thinking that this is just a regular static image.
Soon, there will be a way for you to do this online, but for now the back-end is in place for it to work. I can set it up manually for you. Right now the only part of the members section that works is the ability to register. If you do signup, it may give you an error, but you can ignore that. The double major hasn't allowed me much time lately to refine things, but I will have some time to do so shortly. :)
Thanks all for your support. |

Man, Richard has over 135,000 mouse scrolls. That's a lot! Richard, what are you doing to get so many wheel scrolls? |

Just browsing websites, I use the mouse wheel all of the time. I also use it as a double click button, not sure if that counts as a scroll or not though. |

If you look at the latest news item at http://keycount.piqsoftware.com , you'll notice that the server was updated earlier in the day which caused some downtime. Coincidentally, this also caused many peoples' stats to clear in my database. Statistics refresh themselves within 6 hours if an image for your TKC account is requested. I also reset everyone's stats, so if yours had not reset yet, they will the next time you view your graphic.
One of these days I'll get the stats parser to fail if the site is down and thus eliminate this problem. |
