After seeing a few members ask for this mod I decided to make my sites homepage fully snitz compatible, i've not quite finished yet but would like feedback/ideas for possible additions to it. I plan to release v1 which will work with the base snitz code and then several modules/add-ons to integrate with existing mods such as the events mod etc.

Here's a few teasers

If anyone is willing to test this early next week, let me know and I will send it over, need mySQL and Access testers.

wow looks like it's going to be a real good and useful mod. I'd try out test but I know nothing of asp basically so my aid would be useless

I'm happy to test it on my test site David. It's access so should help with one part of what you're looking for. You can mail me the code here : terry@d-c2.co.uk

Any more ideas for it
My initial plan was to make it work using existing table (like events etc) but these are hard to implement so it will be totally seperate, with only minimal changes to existing files required, 3 in fact.

Excellent work David, one thing that I've found very nice on another forum that I use is at the very bottom of the home portal page it shows the new posts since your last visit regardless of what forum it's in, it just lists them sequentially. They're using invision board so it's php but I don't think it'd be too tough to code this up.

Not far from finishing now, need to finish off some admin stuff then create the dbs file.

I've used new tables for categories and articles but now starting to think it would have been better to use the existing tables, ie Create a new forum called Portal Articles for instance and create the categories under it, thus allowing better management of who can post articles etc. Could make it admin only for example or use the allowed users list.

Any comments?

Can you make that last optional?

Any closer to letting us get our dirty mitts on it?
