After reading those Topics a little while, I have to say, that I understand Bozden very much. I understand now, that free speech is here not allowed. It is only allowed to talk about that things which the "copyright-owners" or their "special-friends" want us to speak. It is not allowed to talk against USA or against Iraq-War. It is not allowed to tell EXACTLY that what about media of our country talk and even not in the way they speak.
The best example was the Threat against me to lock my account if I say a single more word in the way I used to say. I believe, they even don´t understand what the meaning of "free speech" really is...
I´m not as important for this Forum as Bozden was, but I can´t also continue my work of translation (I made all the time the german "Du-Versions"), because I´m feeling not free in such environment. The patriotic flags in the Snitz-Sign is every time a provokation for me and many other german people. Even if this is a private forum with private rules, it´s the only "true" basement for Snitz-Forums and the only way to get full support is to use this forum. Therefore the project is bundled with this forum. There is no other way: Use this forum, follow the rules or go and leave and use an other forum-software. That´s not the meaning of an international open-source. The Base for such a project should be free without politic, but if there is a place like: "Community Discussions (All other subjects) - Have something you think doesn't belong in any of the other forums..." without a exactly definition of neutral rules (for all the same rules!) like "you are not allowed to talk about Iraq-War" there should be allowed to say whatever people want to say. And the rests of the forum should be political-free-zone. That would be fair!
After this sentences you can do what ever you want to do. If you want, you can also lock my account, because I felt free enough to say, what I want. If I break your rules you are welcome to close my account. It does not matter any more.
Bozden, after reading your Emails and your open letter I saw some things more clear than before. I feel the same way as beso said: "Mr. Bülent Özden you are a honest men!" |

The fact that your post still exists pretty much negates your entire argument, as I could simply delete it and deny you any oportunity to comment.
There are no sides to be taken here, it was Bozdens decision alone to leave, if you feel the same, then you are free to leave also |

Within minutes of Huw posting the infamous "Lock Your Account" post, I deleted it and replaced it with a "Contact me Privately" message to deal with issues. This is to "Facilitate" the "Constructive" development efforts of "This Product".
We are a team... if you wish to leave, we regret that, becaus we do like every single one of you very much, but we can't ask you to stay where you do not want to.
If you choose to leave, you leave with our very best wishes.
