This is my contribution to the community, since I'm not very adept at programming mods. I have an authenication script that was written for me to authenticate users with a java chatroom using a snitz database. I'm running 3.4.03, with an SQL database - so it might not work with an access DB, but i'm sure someone here could help you get it running if it doesn't work. If you are an admin on your forum, it automatically gives you admin powers in the chatroom, and if your a regular user, it just logs you in.
The chatroom is sigmachat, at http://www.sigmachat.com - you need to sign up for the $100 per year account with enables you to use your own authenication system. They have a free version if you want to try it out as well. It works great and our users love it. It has handled 60+ users at one time with no slowdown or problems.
I paid about $100 for this script to be written - since I can't help write all the great mods that I've used - I'd like to donate this script to anyone who would like to use it. Drop me an email and I'll send it to you, or let me know if you have any more questions.

Its a great chatroom for the price. I looked at a TON of them, because our site is pretty chatroom intensive as it is a card trading site. They have a free one to, but you can't use the script with that. Most others were around 500 to buy the room, or even around 500 per year to just use.
We used snitzy chat before, but that wasn't suitable for the number of users we had at one time.
