Hi Guys,

When a new user logs into my forum, the list goes back to just that person, then after a while, the system detects the other users (as they move around the forum).

Is this by design, or did I screw up something when I set it up?

Cheers,

Nick

That is not by design.

Bugger!

Any ideas on why this would happen?

Basically, it is when a user logs in. It resets the active members. It does not happen if you have the password saved.

I would double check all the changes you made, just to make sure you did them correctly.

Oh man, that is quite a few now... That is quite a mod :-)

I can go back and check, but I was wondering if a "coder" might be able to point me in the right direction.

I would look at the changes in the following files:
config.asp
inc_header.asp
login.asp

after that I would look at
default.asp
inc_func_common.asp
register.asp

but I would look at the first group of files.

Thanks. I love playing with my different sites.

Did this fix the problem?

Right then, just check all that. No luck, everything looks perfect.

A bit strange alright.

I am off to bed, as it is late here, but I will look again with a fresh head tomorrow.

Thanks for you help.

OK, I triple checked everything today, but I just cannot find the problem. I am behind a firewall, would this cause the problem?

Cheers,

Could you post a link to a text-version of your modified inc_func_common.asp?
