I'd vote for that. |

Ok, lets not turn this topic into what mods we want in the base code.
It looks like a lot of users don't want the stars to be changed. 85% votes for No and a small 15% for Yes (at the time of this posting). |

the pop_poll.asp uses the following: if (self.name != 'poll') {
OpenWindow('pop_poll.asp','poll',400,250);
self.close();
} so that it will be in smaller popup window. |

Have you clicked the link? For me, the window closes immediately after opening. |

are you using Mozilla/Opera perhaps? Are you using the popup blocker in it? If so, you have to allow popups from this site.
I have clicked the link, I was the one who coded the page. Yes, it works for me. |

No, I have IE, but I do use Norton IS with a popup blocker. I thought that might be the problem, but if I type in the URL directly into the browswer, i.e., without clicking the link, I get the IE dialog box: "The Web page you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you want to close this window?" which is the message you get when the page itself has some code to close the window. If I click "No," I can see the page (although not resized).
Anyway, I'll try it later on another machine with no popup blocker, or I'll disable that for a minute on this machine. |

basically that is what it's doing. It checks to see if the window name is poll if it's not, then it loads a new popup page and then closes itself. |

Just tried it on another machine with no popup blocker, and it worked okay. Still trying on the other one with the popup blocker. |

Ok... Ok... for now I won't make them what I proposed :) (note this would have taken me down to 3 stars too :) ) |
