Hi All,

I have finished installing the main part of the forum, have added the following MODS:
Newsevent
Newsletter
Poll
Site Stats
Announcements
FAQ

I even added the Snitz Forums 2000 WebRing

The forum location is: http://HolisticGateway.com/forum

Please let me know if you see something I can better it with!
I'd like to add the "Content" MOD but I think that's a little beyond me at this moment, but soon it will be there!

Thanks!

I like the colors, they blend well....

I don't like the buttons, they are very difficult to read and not too attractive....

there ya go... the good with the bad

Colors are nice!
But i agree with dayve, the buttons are a little hard on the eyes.

Thanks guys.. I was feeling that way too.. so I did a little change to the forum.. Changed the buttons and changed the way the topics were laid out.. This new way makes more sense..

So.. please give comments on the new setup. Thanks!!!

Okay, here go my comments. The first thing I notice is the textured background image--it looks very 1996 to me. I much prefer a more subtle background. I created my own for my forum (it was pretty easy to do) to achieve the effect I like.

I think it's a great idea to use custom buttons for your forum, but they still need some work. The images themselves look good, but the text seems "tacked on," not natural. Perhaps play with the opaquity of them? That might make them blend in better.

I don't like the current colors, if only because they are too close to the stock Snitz colors.

Since you've installed a couple MODs already, why not install the background image MOD? I used it on my site, and it works great!

Also, you might want to consider a different icon set. There are several nice ones available.

Overall, your forum looks *so* close to being excellent--you've got some good MODs installed, and it does look professional, not cluttered or anything. In other words, you seem to have the structure of a great forum, but just need to get the trimmings right!

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions, Test.

I never even thought about getting a different set of ICONS for the page.

The reason for the background was to keep it with the main site.. colors and textures and buttons match the site itself.. But I'd like to check out the background mod and see what I can do with it.

What is your link? I'd like to see it! (I bet if I searched I'd be able to find it quickly, huh?)

Thanks again!!! I'm off to see what I can fix!
