Not a complaint, it was a warning...... it was helping others!

I guess you can't tell the difference.

No, Doug was correct. We've had problems in the past where we had major disagreements about hosts and their service. A decision was made to not discuss hosting matters AT ALL (which is why the hosting forum went away), and I think it's a policy we should try to keep intact.

Thats your opinion Dave,

Your the mods so it's your choice but bear in mind this could stop your users having the same hassles I have!
Helping others is something I do whenever I can, if you don't want to prevent someone having these problems then so be it.

All complaints should be made to the Host directly by whatever means they provide.

If you would have read my original post properly you would have seen it was NOT A COMPLAINT it was an attempt to protect others from making the same mistake.......it couldn't be any simpler!

Also Dave,

If hosting matters are not to be discussed what is this topic http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39512 doing at the top of this forum?

Doughnut, just some friendly advice ... drop the matter ... you said what you had to say and even acknowledged that the topic could be deleted or locked. So, quit while you're ahead.

Just make sure you read WHT's posting rules first, they aren't exactly the most friendly over there to newbs who post in the wrong forum etc.

Thanks Gremlin,

I can only try, I've lost & I'd prefer not to see anyone else lose out so it's worth a go

I don't wish to sound rude Doughnut but there was actually quite a few posts here on Snitz not that long ago discussing that exact same host and the fact that they were no longer providing windows hosting.

If you managed to miss those posts then I suspect even if your original post had been left here, many people would have missed it as easily as you missed the earlier ones (unless somethings a sticky around here it gets off the front pages pretty quickly).

No worries Gremlin you don't sound rude at all & what you say is right of course.......unfortunately I found those posts after it had already happened!

Posted on the forum that was mentioned now, I've done all I can and hope no one else gets caught out in this way

Cheers, Robin.
