Woohoo, exams are finally over and I was finally able to sit down and do some work. Well the major things I needed to do were move the login form somewhere so that I could bring in our navigation menu title image, and move down the drop down menu to the proper location. So after a number of failed attempts to move it into the side bar, I finally chose to attempt it in the main part of the forum.
I wasn't too keen on moving my forum further down the page but I worked hard to redesign the button and other things so that it wouldn't take up too much space. For me this is something I definately did not expect to be able to do, I started working with ASP less than a year ago, and have not taken any classes, just learned by reading the code, and attempting minor changes to see what major problems they'd raise. Well, I feel like the forums are finally really well integrated with the rest of the site and now my task shifts toward motivating students to realize what an incredible asset having the forums can be.
I'd really appreciate any comments, suggestions, errors that you see. I appologize that I cannot allow access to a guest account because in order to allow forums onto the site I had to restrict access those with @bc.edu emails.

Thanks for the supprt and mods, they really make this the best asp forum around. |

Looks good. Except, the brown shade of the categories header should be changed. |

The only reason I did that is because it goes along with the rest of the site, I was kinda iffy about it also, what color would you suggest? |

Gonna give this one a little bump... I've done some work on the site, and tried to integrate it to the rest of the site... I have plans to move that sub menu bar to the side and put the login in there instead, but need to find some time.

Please give me any kind of constructive criticism, thanks.
And I appologize but no test accounts because I am required to restrict posting to students, staff, and faculty members only because for accountability purposes. |

I love what you have done. most members of serverhackers site do not edit the forum as much as you have, and i love it.
A little later i will give you some pointers on what i think you should do, but i can not now due to the girlfriend being here. |

looks great - really like it !!
noticed that the hover over mod seems to be working wrong slightly though...
....or is it my eyes ??
seems to permanently change the colour of forums once hovered over them...
but great design...

http://ugbc.org/forums/forum/ won't load for me, and on the site I can't find a link to the forums at all (in case you've accidentally made a typo). |

With a quick glance at the site... would be better if the drop down menu offset could move a bit to the right to not cover over the logo.
I like the Weather portal include. Looks nicer than the Weather Channel one I put togther.

Where or how did you get the calendar function? Were you able to integrate it with snitz? |

The Events Calendar is a mod coded by red1, it can be found here: http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=66
It is in my opinion one of the most useful mods created for snitz, in addition you can find on snitzbitz another modification to place a small calendar on your home page that displays event names, it's in the process of being integrated. |

I noticed there are no fields for time or location. Have you seen anyone able to customize/enable these features? |

Check out this topic, I think it has what you're looking for: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=41216
I plan on adding these but Red is promising a new version some time in the near/distant future that will allow spanning and/or repeating date events which is what i'm really looking for.
Enjoy |
