Does anyone else sometimes wonder what on earth they are doing with stuff? I get so busy that I get stuff mixed up and it drives me nuts..

I just booked a room for a meeting, did all the prep for it and then got there to find out I had booked the room for a different day and we couldn't have the meeting!! Once wouldn't be so bad but I have done that twice now!!

Lol, yeah me too.

It's just thinking about something else whilst trying to do something, I reckon.

Sometimes I need a CDROM for something, I find it and stick it in the drive, forget i have, then spend the next hour turning the office upside down searching for it, even going to visit colleagues to see if they have it..

Oh, and forgetting to drink my coffee whilst its still hot is another one, leaving me with about 6 full cups of cold coffee at the end of the day.

I guess you're needing an iPaq . Mine takes cares of my agenda so nicely. It's very hard for me to forget anything now . And you can use it for a lot other stuff too...

I have a Palm M515 and absolutely loved it the first couple of months that I had it. Then I got absolutely sick of it because of the special writing you have to teach yourself. I now use it to play tetris when I go to the bathroom... A normal paper organizer works a lot faster for me.

Well you can use your own writing with the iPaq. I bought a character recognition software (Penreader) that allows me that, and recognizes all the special characters we use in Portuguese. I was rather skeptical of the usefullness of handhelds... until I got mine. I find it really usefull. I no longer take notes in meetings in loose sheets of papers, or have those PostIt shopping lists. All goes in the iPaq now. Even my 3 year old likes to scribe there and listening to music played in Windows Media Player .

I had a Jornada ... found it to be an expensive calendar. Tried to use it for note taking, but even with hand writing recognition, it still misinterprets things. (Kinda like speech recognition.) Anywho ... I don't use it anymore because my roof leaked on it.

Writing notes on my palm (literally) is a much better method!

The cure to a lot of my woes was pinching an olympus digital voice recorder when our corporate masters delivered them as a gift to the associates in a place i was contracting to.

Pocket sized device, records voice only and comes with an app to download to the PC as WAV's.
