OK, I create a new user "A" in Frontpage Administration for a private subdomain, it creates a user in my Windows 2000 Server user list, and adds it to the frontpage group.

I go to logon on to the private web(framed), no problem so far, But when I open the forum page, and it does not show me logged in as a user, I go to the registration process, click OK to the disclaimer, and fill in the new user form, its says OK.... and returns me back to the forum... still unregistered.

So I go in with an administrator logon/password and look at the members section, I see member "A", I "Modify the User Profile" and see the "*Your Account" is blank, I add "A" name to it (Same as the "User Name").... Save... and log out. It is like if I do it at the user registration, it does not save ?

Log back on to the website... go to the forum.. and now it recognizes the user "A"... IS THERE A WAY TO AVOID HAVING TO DO THIS ??? I want the Forum to recognize any registered NT user right off the bat...

Also... what is NT Groups ? what is its purpose ?

Thanks,

Cobra

PS: When I turn "NT group" on I then get

"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01b6'

Object doesn't support this property or method: 'strNTUserInfo.Groups'

/private/ASP-Forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 823
"

PSS: Now if I go and turn on in IIS "Integrated Windows Authentication" and turn off "Basic Authenication" I can log back on with out the above error....

It is an IIS Authenication issue, and Forum issue with NT database, and Autologon, and NT User Groups.... just can't figure out a solution to all issues ! I would rather stick with "Basic Authenication" with IIS (plan on using SSL certificate anyway), and when I switch to "Integrated Windows Authenication" my client can not view the site through their corporate firewall, authenication fails.
