I wanna run my forum from my computer while i add new MODS and things, only one thing.... I have a windows XP Home computer and i dont know how to go about this, last thing i remember seein said i cant... any help?   |

| Do you have an old machine lying around? You could set that up as a testing server if you have Windows 98 or something else on it. As far as using your XP Home machine as a server, I'm not sure but I know it doesn't have IIS on it like the Pro version does. |

Are you saying that you want to use your local machine for testing? If so, you need to install IIS. I used a book to walk me through it (Wrox's ASP.NET for Beginners).
<edit>Oh, you've got XP Home, eh? Yeah, I don't think that has IIS on it.</edit>
Or are you saying you want to use your home computer to host your live site on the Internet? |

I duuno, i am just offline right now so, i will have a good look at it 2moro.
From what i know i may need to upgrade to xp pro or grab a few DDL's from it. |
