Please read this article on http://news.com.com if you haven't heard about this yet: http://news.com.com/2100-1001-981745.html

Here's a link to the Microsoft Security Bulletin, which contains links to the download locations for the different affected Windows versions, and more information: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/ms03-001.asp
This link can be found in the article too though.

Looks like it primarily effects Domain Controllers, most stand alone Windows Servers will not be configured as PDCs or BDCs.

I'm not good with the technical talk put in those Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles. All I know is that I'd rather patch something that couldn't have caused any harm in the first place, than getting problems and regretting I didn't install the patch (it took less than a minute)

Be careful with this one... For some reason this caused my SNMP service to stop 30 seconds after being restarted (on two boxes). Couldn't keep it running. I think it was related to the SNMP agent I installed that rides on top of the service, but I don't know for sure. I reinstalled the agent and everything seems to be working fine. Just be careful, and keep your eyes open.

I haven't encountered any problems, but I agree. Maybe making a backup, as they advise before you actually install the patch, isn't such a bad idea eh?
