I have a Snitz forum V3.3.05 running on an Access 97 server, and i have tried installing the Avatar mod V2.0, but in the process of upgrading the database i received the following message :

quote:

Creating table(s)...
CREATE TABLE FORUM_AVATAR( A_ID int IDENTITY (1, 1) NOT NULL , A_URL text (255) NULL , A_NAME text (50) NULL , A_MEMBER_ID int NULL DEFAULT 0)
Table already exists

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Creating table(s)...
CREATE TABLE FORUM_AVATAR2( A_HSIZE int NULL , A_WSIZE int NULL , A_BORDER int NULL )
Table created succesfully

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adding new records..

Value(s) updated succesfully
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adding Column M_AVATAR_URL...
Column added successfully

The red part was also red in the message.

Then when i tried to add an avatar i received the following massage:

quote:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver] Couldn't find output table 'FORUM_AVATAR'.

/forum/admin_add_avatar.asp, line 90

And of course there are no avatars in the forum, and i can't add any. Does this mod even work on an Access 97 server?

Also can you tell me where can I find a Private messages mod for this version of the forum?

See this post here For those having problems w/ MOD SETUP
It just says to use a access 2000 connection string if you are not already.

Also you may be able to find the pm mod on RichardKinser site, but I cant remember the URL right now.

EDIT - The PM mod can be found here

But what can I do since my server only supports Access97 constrings?

Thanks a lot for the PM mod.
