I can't see any harm in that.

December:

Impressions: (all banners including 468*60, 120*600 and text) 1,339,365
Clicks: 19,294
Leads: 52
Sales: 182
CTR: 0.014

I need to optimise my banners to increase that CTR (468*60's can be wasteful) but i'm still a 4-star (occasionally 5-star) CJ publisher regardless. Makes me wonder how bad some sites are doing with them?

I'm not going into my earnings for December but it wasn't too bad. About the same as I made using Fastclick (CPC/CPM ad banners) for the same month.

I don't like to advertise forums within forums but I recommend geek/talk as a great place to read up on CJ and other CPA programs.

I think I'm going to try Amazon.com first. I understand how drirene can drive the revenue that she does from her Amazon book recommendations. The topic of my new site idea is pretty tightly focused and I think that I can try and do something similar.

I use Amazon, CJ and BeFree.

They all work very well.. but it mostly depends on your site's content.

I run a collecting site for Star Wars, so it lends itself well to selling toys, books, games, etc.

In the "good 'ol" days of the Internet bubble, eToys offered 25% commissions on all sales... that was a fun time!
