Can anyone point me in the direction of any associations, guilds, clubs etc - that are a "must" for new webmasters.
i.e. I went on
http://www.hwg.org/
and read about the IWA membership
is there any Snitzers here members of any such organizations that are worth it ???

Never heard of IWA...
The best "clubs" are ones like this one (Snitz), IMHO. |

I am trying to find out which certification if any is useful when it comes to webmasters / developers for myself.
i.e. I have read about CWP and CIW certifications, but was wondering what others thought about such certifications.

I went to your link and saw the IWA info, but again, I haved't heard of it.
My business is teaching so that people can pass tests, and I can say for sure that there is very little relationship between passing a test and one's ability.
I'd be surprised if other folks here are members of any such organizations, but if they are, I'd like to hear about it, too! |
