How do I find out the info to edit this "strConnString = "driver=MySQL;server=SERVER_IP;uid=UID;pwd=PWD;database=DB_NAME" '## MySQL The parts in as in how do I find the info on my MYSQL program to put the right numbers/names etc. to have my Snitz forum point to my database. To get this "The database could not be opened !!
Check your config.asp file and set the
strConnString so it points to the database.
Also check if strDBType is set to the right databasetype.

Code : 80004005

Error Description :
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified" to stop coming up. Like I said I am an EXTREME newbie at MySQL and .asp anyone who can help it would be appreciated. Thanks

You should ask that info from your host.

There's http://www.freesql.org but read their usage policy:

...FreeSQL does not host any databases for phpBB, phpNuke, YABB, vBulletin or any other database intended to drive a prepackaged web based BBS

http://www.portland.co.uk/ offer free MySQL database hosting as well, just check their site... but don't expect to find what suits your needs...

So maybe you need to consider paying for a host plan that supports ASP and MySQL.
