Our host (Fasthosts in the UK) do not provide us with an email server. Any mod that permits me to specify a different smtp server via authentication ? Making it open relay is not an option (blame btopenworld for that!)

Is CDOSYS available to you? If so, you can use that to send mail via an external SMTP server.

Yes - I've seen this CDOSYS - but I've not come across it before - I'm checking google right now for a decent beginners link - but anything you can tellme about it - how it works, whats needed on the remote smtp server would be most appriciated.

JMail from www.dimac.net will let you use an external SMTP server.
