I found this link by pure luck, if you want to call it that. It's about a guy who burnt himself by using a laptop in his lap for an hour.
If you use a laptop computer, please read the following story. If you don't use one but just want to have a good laugh, read it too

I've had my Dell laptop on my lap at home several times. It does get warm, but if it gets hot enough to burn you, something's wrong with the ventilators (they automagically turn on and off).

I liked that story though...

that's why I never put my laptop directly on myself, i usally have a twel or a hard surface (to allow better ventilation) between my laptop and my body!

I put my laptop on the desk most of the times. And several times when I put it on my lap for like 3 hours, it never burned me, but it gets little warm though.

LoL, you would refrain from buying yourself a laptop because a guy kept it on his lap for a quite a while and burnt himself? Don't you think you would have more sense than that guy did? hehe

What I want to know is, why was he naked while using the notebook????? It is the only way I could see him burning him self, even though it said:

I can not see it happening any other way, than having no pants on...

Because he was wearing clothes, I think the fans couldn't do their work properly, creating more and more heat, and eventually enough to burn him (as the manual of my Dell notebook said "don't put the notebook on a soft surface like a bed or pillow").
What really amazed me was how stupid someone can be not to notice the heat on his legs and crotch. It's almost like putting a hot cup of coffee (or tea) on your leg while wearing jeans. At first you might not feel the heat, but after a minute or so you will and will move the cup. Maybe he was indeed looking at some "hot" sites that had his undevided attention

No misreading it.. I know it said he had pants on, just that if it was buring the pants first, there would of been a smell of burning material, and I am sure most people have smelt that in their time. Not pleasent.

The only logical answer is no pants and got burnt, but told the doc he had them on to cover the embarrassment...

I agree with David, I don't think he was wearing pants. Maybe he burnt himself another way and blamed it on the computer. How in the world do you burn your penis with a laptop? Why did he have it positioned so high up on his body? Was he laying down? It doesn't make sense. That blister has got to hurt!
