Anybody know how to make like 150 x 95 video resolution to be like 320 x 230 without making it look bad. Like without any distortion to graphics. |

Pray for a miracle. There's no way to enlarge an image without losing quality, and since a video isn't a clear image where all lines are crips and sharp, it's even more difficult.
Oh, to clearify why I say there's no way to enlarge an image without losing quality: things usually become blurry and you need to sharpen them, often not doing much good to the image. And if you use special "enlargement software", they use special techniques to render images differently with less loss (although on a lot of images the results are worse than when you use one of the "old fashioned" techniques). |

Aint there some kind of hardware for that though? You know like used in tv's, and other stuff. They probably have something similar. |

Not really Extra, you've got to remember TV's are very different than computer monitors, the pixel size on a TV is huge when compared to a computer monitor so resized images don't look as bad (becuase the lack definition basically).
No matter what Hardware or Software you use you still only have ~14,000 pixles per frame to work with in your original file, to get your resolution of 320x320 ~100,000+ pixels more pixels have to be addedd to the picture, there are various algorithims available for this but they all basically just look at the existing pixels and try enlarge them to the new size by adding extra similar pixels .. usually this just ends up as a big blocky mess. |

BTW Broadcast TV resolution is actually around 440 scan lines. An average TV has ~480 lines of resoution available so as you can see theres not much upscaling going on (I'm only talking about Horizontal Resolution here though).
VHS Tape on the other hand is about ~280 lines of resolution which is why its never quite as sharp as even regular TV is (depending on signal strength and noise ratio of the signal). |
