Hi! I designed a page and added snitz as www.example.com/forum. Now i want to make other pages that requires autorization. Can i make a register/login page myself at my main page and attach it to snitz database ? So users that uses my registration page can see their profiles in www.example.com/forum ? Especially i want new register form that includes more fields and i couldn't add in snitz. Help plz!

Lac0niC, i can't understand what you really want to do ????

i'm no opinion if you want to add a forum to your PORN site,
(the orginial link Lac0niC posted: www. xxx.com/forum)
but it's not forum, just PORN images and Non-stopping pop-up porn Ad.
i'm really angry why you don't mention this for us.

and now you change the link to a invalid site.....
are you just making a joke for our snitz users ???

he mistakenly put xxx as the domain name, it's an honest mistake. I could tell that it wasn't meant to be a real URL so I never clicked on it.

My forum's real address is http://localhost/kuleli/forum/default.asp
Xxx was just an example. I couldn't think it is owned by porners. =) Already i didn't give xxx for clicking. Just an example. Nevermind. I am not angry to you. You were right. It's my mistake.

hi~ Lac0niC,
sorry again. it really is my fault...
(i should be very careful when touch anything with "xxx" next time... )

and about your question.. i think you need to decide which member system you want. if you already got snitz on your website, just use the snitz member system will be the best choice. it should be easy to integrated to you other non-forum pages.

when member login, there are a cookie setting strDBNTUserName to store username. so if you want to set authority to other pages, just check the strDBNTUserName value.

usually i'll make this as a including file... for example: inc_chklogin1.asp.txt or inc_chklogin2.asp.txt
then just put it after <!--include="inc_header.asp"-->(if it's in /forum/ooo.asp page), or on the top of other asp pages(if it's non-forum/outer page, you may need to change to the correct path in inc_chklogin2.asp...)

and about the login form, there are already a inc_login MOD can do this..
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=33125
by this you can show the login/out form on other new added pages.

and also have a User Fields MOD can let you add custom register/member profile data fields.... but i'm not sure HuwR will realease this updated version or not..

anyway, i think the member system of Snitz is very flexible. maybe just a little modify or page design, then you can get what you need.

Hi,
I have a slightly harder problem.
I already have a login system and don't want to use Snitz's.
Any ideas how to disable it?

Bless you...

if you mean you alreay have another Members system, just want to use Snitz's forum featue.... i think you'll need to try synchronize your original member database with snitz's MEMBERS table...

it's a BIG heavily SUPER harder problem as my ability....
sorry can not help you this... i think someone else maybe know how to do it...

Never mind DoraMoon - thanks anyway, maybe someone else will rise to the challenge...
If someone knows where exactly the login bit is - so I can disable it
and maybe replace the log-in username with my variable..that would be a good start...anyone?
