Hello MichaelA:

Yes, I want to be able to turn it off & on so I can Monitor it. I have a Forum that is nothing but Business Owners, that are a Handfull to Handle at Times, besides other Rival Forums & their Members that Constantly Verbally Attack the Forum...

And I feel I must have Complete control over it, so if it gets Bad I can Shut it off & to be able to Monitor it at times Suitable for me.

Yes, I would like it where it's for Members Only, Just Giving out a Password & Changing it wouldn't be Good Enough for the Long Run, Because Certain Members would be giving it out to LOL the Undiserables. This is the kind of Problems I see.

I can't wait to check it out, so I might go ahead & install it on my Test Forum & See how it works.

Thank You for Your Time!!!!!

The password that you change it to at night, don't give out. That will lock the forum so nobody can use it. Then in the morning change it back to the password normally used.

I access the chat sessions differently on my site. I make everyone go to an intermediate page. I can turn off the links on that page when I want. I've changed the FlashChat to be member only using this method. It was quite simple (thanks to Carefree's efforts I figured it out). I made the id/name field a text field, not an input filed, and changed the code to pass the Snitz user name to chat. Then the passwords are for the rooms which can be changed so no one knows then. That essentially locks the room(s).

Hallo,

I have a chat running on my forum. I do not now if it is any good.
At least it is integrated with snitz forum and does not need a virtual
server or somethink like it. Only registered users can use it.
Shuting it down would be a feature I could add. I forgot where
I got it, but I had to modify it heavilly, so it fits with snitz. The
problem is , not many of my users like to chat, so I do not get a lot of feedback

Sincerely

Chris
