working with4.0Beta03 i found out that i can get subscribtions working only when moderation is disabled. However i need both subscribtion and moderation working at the same time, to get notified (as admin) to know that there are some new postings to moderate!
Set subscribtion in admin options to whole board, and allowed subscribtion both on category (category allowed) and forums (forum allowed).
Set moderation enabled in admin options, and allowed moderation in both categories and forums.
When both moderation and subscription are allowed , moderation does work allright, but no subscribtion e mail are send to me (admin), though i subscribed as admin to the whole board.
I made some new topics to test this matter, of course not as admin, but with a test account, because you get no subscribtion e mail to your own postings.
Who can help me on this subject?< |

When enabling moderation, you set a moderator, that moderates the posts, you wrote?
The subscription mails won`t be sent out, before the posts are approved.

Did not understand it worked that way.
So i guess i will have to check the forum very reguarly as a moderator, to prevent that too many postings will be waiting for approval

| Don`t sure, but I think a moderator of a moderated forum should get a mail, that there new postings, ready for moderation. Need to verify that, since I don`t use moderation.< |

I did some more testing, and the moderator receives the notification e-mail only after he approved the new post, which is rather useless of course.
So there is obviously no difference between the moderator and all other members concerning the handling of subscribtions< |
