Okay, I watched most of the program, but didn't see a soul from the audience.
But I did hear some clapping...
It was the show with the hacker guy who'd just written a book? Correct me if I'm wrong... |

Well as some of you already know, I just recently returned from San Francisco where I was an audience participant in the Monday showing of The ScreenSavers on TechTV. It was pretty cool, although my wife was not as excited as I was.
It began at 3 PM where they brought us into a room to explain some of the history of how TechTV came about. They also went over some rules and regulations and noted several suggestions that people had to offer. They also noted that Martin is doing a pilot show of his own soon and Leo may have another show of his own called "Late Night With Leo" which I think could replace Call For Help with that kid known as The Gnome.
They also noted that they want anyone with Cable or Dish to please ask for their channel to be added to their package. Apparently TechTv does not make any money, in fact they mentioned that they are in the "red". I told them they needed to open a Company Store because I am sure everyone would like to buy stuff related to the shows while they are visiting. The suggestion was definately agreeable with everyone in the room and they said they are trying to get one going.
Anyway, they showed use the itenerary and thats when my eyes lit up. I saw that Kevin Mitnick (if you don't know who he is, you are not worthy or should I say nerdy enough to continue reading this ;)) would be the guest on the show. What was even better was that they don't have a green room for the guests so I got to sit right next to him. We chatted a bit and I got his autograph. If I had known he was going to be there, I would have bought his book (which I did today at Amazon) and had him sign that instead.
I spoke with Leo a bit too. He noticed my Nine Inch Nails shirt and said to me "Did you see the shows where we had Chris Vrenna on?" Which I immediately replied "yes" and further asked him "When are you going to get Trent Reznor on the show?" Leo said he would love to have him on the show and they would continue trying to get him in around his busy schedule. I told Leo that with Tapeworm coming out he may be available upon the release so he can market it. Leo noted it and said he would follow up on it. That would be really cool if he did get Trent to come and I was able to catch the show.
Anyway, it was a blast, Megan is HOT! ;) (not in photo below :() Here is a photo of my signed card from Leo and Kevin.

| did you send anyone on techtv an email recently? the whole time I was at the show they have 1 person that goes through the emails and I watched them actually visit sites that were linked in the emails. |
