Hi Everybody,

Is anyone having trouble accessing sites hosted at readyhosting, besides me? My personal site is down. The www.readyhosting.com site is down. I know Frutzle is using readyhosting for www.frutzle.com and www.rakkoon.com and they're both down as well. I can't seem to get into the mail servers either becuase the connections get refused.

They're back! Thank goodness. That was fun. I don't expect 99.9999% up time for my $99 bucks but experiencing what is my first service outage is a bit of a shock. They were gone for the past hour or so. Wonder what happened? Their network status page shows all "greens", now.

I suppose some good came out of it. After things got fixed I visited Frutle's web sites and read the blahs at www.rakkoon.com. I guess you could call it Frutzle's blog. Nice font in your rakkoon.com logo, Frutz. Papyrus?

Well, I'm going to go backup by db now...

Everything they had was down for hours last night. I got home at 4:00am CST, my site was not accessable. Neither was any of their resellers sites, nor their own site. I went to bed 3 hours later at 7:00am CST and all were still down. All were back up when I got up 3 hours later at 10:00am CST.

Maybe removing my account overnight crashed everything. Afterall, my annual account just expired there. Not that the world revolves around me.

Hopefully, removing mine won't do the same!

Lol... well at least one of us thought it was fun. I didn't get several emails that people sent me when my sites were down

They were down longer than that, but I don't know how long 'cause I had to go some place and turn the computer off.
I'm just wondering why they have a network status page. I mean, when the sites they host are down, theirs is down too most of the time

YAY... My second visitor today Actually, I don't keep track of how many people visit my sites. They're not there to attract people or anything, so I couldn't care less if I were the only one to go there.
As for the font: no idea. With over 800 fonts installed, I don't keep track of which one I use for what.

Everything is in one Class C space--including all of *their* nameservers (which means usually, all of *yours* are too )

I discovered the outage this early a.m. my time (Central US), but did not have a chance to determine if it was an actual network failure or just nameserver issues.

Did anyone try accessing their sites (mailservers) by IP? I was going to once i got to work, but by the time I got around to it, everything was back anyway...

Check their uptime!

I think it is Papyrus. I remember thinking about buying it once, but decided not to becuase as a non-designer I wasn't going to use it enough to justify the cost.

Nice site frutz. As someone with a design disability, it's very difficult for me to put together a design I can say I'm proud of, but I do know what I like when I see it.

Did you create your blog ASP by yourself? I've been wanting to do something like it, but haven't had the time to work on it.

The font came either with one of the CorelDraw versions we've had over time, or I found it on one of those free font sites. I've never bought a font unless a client insisted on a specific one to be used that we didn't already have

The blog is a pretty far customized Snitz 3.4.01 (I think) with some 3.4.03 bug fixes applied. But since I hacked so much of the codes and have "hidden" the forums that I use to write the actual Blahs, I don't worry about security risks. Besides, with regular backups and nothing important on that site, it doesn't really matter if someone decided to go haywire and hack it.
Oh, the contact page used to be pop_mail.asp, and the guestbook is driven from the "hidden" forums aswell.

I'm with one of their resellers and my uptime seems pretty good at almost 98% overall despite the outtage. Here's a status page from the past week or two from a site that monitors uptime (for free) http://www.easymonitor.com/about.html!

Since the last time they went down, my sites have been a lot faster, especially noticable on Rakkoon.com and the DVDs section of FrutZle.com (the forums are a bit faster too, but somehow not as much as the rest).

Nothing to complain about for what I'm paying
