I'm making a prototype for our companys Intranet based on the Snitz forum. I've installed PWS on a NT4 workstation and got the Forum running with DB authentication, but now I want to switch to NT authentication. Eventually I want to get rid of all Registration, Login and Logout options.
I don't have admin rights to our network so I will need help from our IT department to do this and they will only help me if I tell them exactly what I need to do. It's not like they will give me full access to the server (NT4.0 Server) and let me play around with user rights etc.
I will need to have a good idea of what to do before I go to them.
This is what I think I need to do:
1. Create a couple of users in the forum which username equals a valid domain user. 2. Give one of these users admin right to the forum. 3. Ask the IT Dept. to give administrator rights to the domain user I use to log in on my PWS machine. 4. Run up the forum and switch from DB to NT.
Just didn't want you to think that your question was being ignored. NT Authentication with Snitz isn't used as much as just DB authentication. Hopefully some of the NT Authentication gurus will be around soon to answer your questions.
