Quick question. I have a forum up that I have just finished (it's just the basic Snitz forum setup with my 'style' added to it). I d/l'ed this fully modded version and want to use it....my question is, if I unzip and upload, will I need to reconfigure the entire forum (as if I started from scratch) or can I just upload portions of it??? I'm VERY new to this so I need (at first) the easiest solution to using this software.
Oh ya, and is this d/l compatible with the Brinkster site??? The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to upload alot of these files and I'm getting the following error messages:
Uploading File 1...admin_file_lister.asp Uploading File 1...admin_album.asp Uploading File 1...dbsetup.asp Uploading File 1...file_lister.asp
--> Scanning File ...Error : Improper use of 'on error resume next'. Please remove.
0 file(s) uploaded.
The improper use of 'on error resume next' was noted. Comment out the 'on error...' directive of the offending file and reupload it.
Uploading File 1...admin_inactive_users.asp --> Scanning File ...Error : Server.ScriptTimeout set too high.
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'
Object required: ''
/FileManagerUploadFiles.asp, line 92
HELP!!!
Thanks in advance! |

The SH MODded Snitz usually gets better support over at their site, since they're the ones who've changed the base code. |

I have screwed up the installation again. I created two forum folders (both under the www/ folder) one called /forum and the other /modforum
Didnt know how to join up the two forums
I also got the line 150 error, but changing your connection sting to go to the right database fixes it.
What I cant seem to get going is the admin options-mod set up and then selecting the mods.
Mine just shows all the mods. Dont know how to fix this or what I did wrong

This forum mod is great. I couldnt wait for the version 9!!!
But I have a urgent question. I really like tu use this forum on my site, but I´ve got hundreds of users per day and lots of postings ( 5000 Users, 40 Gig traffic a month and 300 postings a day. Millions of hits).
So, has anyone tested this forum with this lots of hits??
Im running an win2000 server with 2 websites and going to use mysql database.
