I am getting this message running version 3.4.0. Is this an error with my forums or my site? I can view the rest of my site fine, but not the forums.

I reported this to my hosting company as well, but was wondering if this is a problem on their end or the forums.

In IE, go to Tools->Internet Options, click Advanced tab, uncheck Show Friendly HTTP Errors. Then post the real error message here.

This is not happening in IE only in Netscape... it hasn't displayed this message in the 2+ months I've been using a snitz board.

A server error should, AFAIK, occur for all browsers, at least with Snitz, since there is no browser specific code. If you don't have IE post a link to your forum.

It's weird, because I see it fine with IE, but not with Netscape.

That URL does not work for me. I get a page not found error.

Sorry, I just fixed the link. I put "forum" by accident.

I'm getting the HTTP 1.1 500 error with Internet Explorer. Maybe there is a server problem while the pages are cached in Internet Explorer on your machine, and therefore showing a working site there but not in Netscape?

Well this runs fine in IE. I can't remember whether there were any Javascript issues with 3.4.01 and my only browser is IE, so I can't tell whether this problem is related to something specific with your browser version.

However I've noticed that you're using Snitz 3.4.01, while our current version is 3.4.03. Upgrade your forum and see if that will fix it (it won't harm anyway).

I've registered (as test), posted a test topic, all without problem. Please delete topic and user. Your forum seems to be working as expected.

This is really weird... Your forums won't work for me in Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 6 or Opera 6, but they do in Mozilla 1.
Tested it again in those browsers and it's working in all of them. Really really weird.

500 Server error in IE6. Nothing further specified. Friendly errors disabled.

The reason I didn't want to upgrade ruirib, was because every time I do a massive list of problems come up that it takes me days to fix... I still don't even have them all fixed.

Maybe your server is experience heavy load and is generating error messages sometimes. One thing seems sure, though: highly likely this has nothing to do with the forum code.

So this is most likely a problem with my hosting company that will fix in some amount of time?

Well I have made all the way from 3.4.RC1, RC2, 3.4, 3.4.01, 3.4.02, 3.4.03 without a single problem during the upgrade.
