Well, that's a busy site. If you're going to continue and use that textured background, then I would suggest putting the menu inside a table cell with a basic background. The way it is right now gives me a bit of a headache..... |

Thank you for your comment. When you say to use SSI's, are you referring to incorporating the guestbook and/or links manager into my default.asp page?
I am referring to the two links bars that you have either side of the screen. The frames are too much and you should incorporate these links bars into the main page.
SSI's = Server-Side Include files |

Just because you find it ok doesn't mean your users do.
I run at the same resolution as you and i find both sites cluttered. |

Again, thank you for your suggestion. I have on my main page at http://www.mytechsupport.ca a poll to find out which version of my site people prefer. I have an alternative look at http://www.mytechsupport.ca/index_lb.html which still uses frames but the menu bar has no icons, it is a bit cleaner. As for the background for the menu, are you referring to the Snitz menu with the Home|Profile|Register... or my icon bar menus?
The alternate way looks a little easier on the eyes (at least to me..), so that's OK. And yes, I meant the Home|Profile... part. Anywhere you've got plain text on the textured background, I find it very hard to read anything on that textured background, but again, that's just me... |

No don't go with a portal unless you want to. I just don't like frames - I think they ruin your pages. They would look so much better if you at least turned scrolling off. |
