I had a couple of ideas for the registration process.

I think most of us like to have open forums. Either way, I know I do, and I'd like to have it that when someone signs up, they can post immediately (I do have e-mail validation on).

The validation is good, but many people have a few e-mail accounts, and could always create a few more anyway.

I know there's the approval process, but I'm starting to get too many new members to have to approve each one, and I'd have little reason not to approve most anyway.

So, here's my thought: create a couple of new options. One being "Approve on duplicate IP". That is, if someone signs up and another member has already signed up with that IP (or has that as their last IP - maybe an option for each), then that member must be approved. (It's a little less restrictive then an IP ban)

Another thought is a domain list. Example, all people can post immediately after validation, but if you use a hotmail address, you must be approved. It's not something I'm looking to do, but I can see how this might be useful to someone.

I hope to build a mod for myself and then release it, but I didn't think this should just be a mod, I thought it would be useful to the system, and that's why I'm posting it here.

Perhaps in a future release. Anyway, just my suggestion, hope it's considered, and if you have any questions, just let me know.
