Looks what a search turned up in only 20 seconds: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=34033&SearchTerms=error,'80040e10'

Next time, search for the error code you got.

Ummm thanx for the smart ace remark.. I did do a search and read the posts but seems they are saying its a caching problem.. Im looking for a more definitive answer than that. Its an access 97 database for anyone with info. The database upgrade showed fine but the error is still there.. Here's a link

so you're using an Access 97 database?
Download it and upgrade it using Access 2000 or Access 2002. Re-upload the database and try again.

The reason I gave my answer the way I did is that you didn't post any info other than the error you got. How was I supposed to know that you did a search but that the topics you found didn't provide any help?

After upgrading to Access 2K and changing the connection string to use the 2K connect string I get the same basic error message.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'

No value given for one or more required parameters.

did you get any error messages when you upgraded? Try running setup.asp again and see what happens.

Ok seems that I had to upgrad to 3.3.05 or whatever then it started doing the changes to the database. I didnt have this problem on one of the other boards that I just upgraded on. What I did per instructions here.

Access 97 Database upgraded to 2000
Upgrade Database with 3.3.05 First
Then Upgrade database to 3.4.01

All seems well and looks good. Thanx for the help..

I just received the following error message when upgrading my database to 3.4.02. The setup.asp file runs ok and I was able to upgrade to 3.3.03 and 3.3.05 with no errors but when I try to access my forum home page I get the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e10'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 1.

/snitz2/default.asp, line 262

Here is the link that provides the error!

I decided to upgrade the Access 97 database to 2000 and I changed the SQl type to MS Access 2000 but I'm still receiving the same errors.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Regards,
Chuckie

It's possible that you're having a caching problem with your server.Try reseting the server or asking your host to do it for you, to see if it fixes help.
