DigiMind, that is something you have to post in a new topic. I don't know anything about the PM Pager, which is a separate mod. This topic is only for the AU-mod.

ok, i was trying to fix this up earlier and noticed that on the active users page that it is the same way. if they are logged in or log out normally it's all good. but if they close the window they remain there until the idle time out.
i have the idle time out set for 1/2 hour, ( but that's for the forum itself) their name still shows in the panel as logged in and on the last page they were on. this was why i thought it would come from here.

Oh, but that is way that AU is supposed to work. Not everone logs out when they leave a forum, as they want to be logged in when they return. The only way your AU can bemore accurate is to lower the timeout period.

ok, so there is no real way to set it to force them to relogin? i was trying to make a check if the window.name was existing, if not then send a false and close the connection but i can't seem to get the string right. Thanks for the assistance though.

You could maybe do that with javascript, which logs them out when they unload the window. Im not good with javascript, so Im just guessing here.

Did you fix the problem by running audbsetup.asp?
If it didn't, which page do you recieve that error on? What do you have on the lines above line 62?

hi masterao and all
sorry not to have post the error :( anyway i think the bug is here,
this is the original code:
if (rsAM("M_AUHIDE")=1 or isNull(rsAM("M_AUHIDE"))) or strAUAnon = 0 or bolOverride then
and this how i suppose it should it be
if (rsAM("M_AUHIDE")="1" or isNull(rsAM("M_AUHIDE"))) or strAUAnon = 0 or bolOverride then
i've tried and have got no more error
does it mean something for you? |

I don't think that your fix will pose any problems, so it should work. I have the original code in my version, and I haven't recieved that error that Im aware of.
It could help if you answer my questions on where you got that error. Which page did you try to view and what were you doing when it occured?

Don't mean to sound insulting, but have you tried SnitzBitz yet?
You'll find most of the MODs for 3.4.03 and earlier there.

THANK YOU TO THE PERSON WHO SENT IT!
No problem Padawan, but I looked at the Active Users mod downloadable at SnitzBitz and it wasn't the 4.0.17 version, it is an earlier version, at least that is what the readme says
As usual, thanks again guys! :)
<edit> From the readme.html in the 'Active Users' mod at SnitzBitz: "Title: Active Users vs. 4.0.07"
From the readme.html in the 'Active Users' mod e-mailed to me: "Title: Active Users vs. 4.0.17" </edit> |

hi masterao
i got the error on default page, there's no any special reason, and i just do nothing... :) open the page, that's all, anyway, as i said, the problem seems to be fixed, maybe number 1 is interpreted like a boolean and not as a string |
