Ok.....I'm missing something very basic here that is probably staring me right in the face.

How do I assign moderators?

When I go to the Moderator Setup in Admin Options and try to assign a moderator to a forum, the only name available is my own (the administrator) how do i set other users as moderators?

Go to members logged in as an admin.

Edit a members profile and then you can make him or her moderator

Yes, do this and change the member level to Moderator. Also in 3.4 moderators can also be added by editing forum properties.
