hi there, could anyone tell me how could i upgrade my forum to 3.4 version without loosing my previous code modifications?

i mean, since i'm italian i've tanslated some messages as i liked, put some images in default page, personalized avatar section, personalized similies etc, and overwriting old files with the new 3.4 ones, i will loose all that changes.

what could i do to avoid that?

Not sure if you can do that- because there are lots of file changes and such and it would be much easier to update and then re-do your translations !
