From what I can remember I "Think" Richard said he was going to update His Avatar MOD for 3.4 Don't hold me to it you might want to ask him.
Or just wait a day for a answer.

Oh and don't email him like crazy right now. He's been pretty busy and still is you might want to give him a break for about a week or so before bothering him. |

I was able to update a lot of the code. Register.asp was a little tricky and I couldn't get it to work with the new avatar code. Looks like I might be missing some tables in the database?? I decided to stop before I messed with topic.asp though... Maybe if I could get the register.asp working it might not be so bad. |

Same as the above, tried to continue installing the mod but it looks like the SQL statements have all changed and varibale etc.
Are there any avatar mods for 3.4 and why don't they implement avatars into the forum code. It seems that a universal standard feature like Avatars is missing from Snitz. I'm not complaining becuse I do like the forums... it just seems that the developers are not intouch with the community they are serving.

couldn't be possible to leave old profile.asp and register.asp page instead overwriting them with the new ones?
in this way modifing the new admin_option_page.asp with the code requested to open avatar page an admin could use avatars with the new version... |

The registration process has changed in 3.4, I don't think that the old register.asp would work correctly with v3.4.
Khan, the developers are in touch with the community, they run this forum after all!
Avatars as part of the base code would be nice, but I'm sure that this will be ready soon. For the time being, if your forum has avatars and you update it, the avatar tables and extra fields will remain, the only problem would be that avatars would not be displayed. As soon as the avatar mod is updated, I would think that they will still be stored in the same fields as the previous avatar mod, so will be available again.
If that's impossible to live with, you will just have to wait until Richard gets time to update the avatar code before you update your forum, he's probably far too busy with base code at present. (You shouldn't be updating a live forum until the 3.4.01 release anyway )
