I've released two betas one for 3.3.x and one for 3.4.x They should correct for all the other shortcommings and bugs in the previous release plus they add everything but user security. If you download it and use it please report any bugs asap so I can correct them. Right now I'm converting everything to getrows and trying to just clean up the code and make it as fast as possible.

I have updated the beta files for the photo album. I _think_ I have all the major bugs worked out. I am just working to clean up any bugs I find and to clean up and document the code. From the Readme:
Paging for large albums, not all pictures are shown on one page. Single album mode. Now administrators can set the album in single mode. Categories are tied to the Admin account. IF THE Admin doesn't have an album THIS WILL NOT WORK! Administrators can set the option to have a photo displayed in a pop-up window OR under the thumbnails Administrators can allow users to pick a photo to displayed on the category page. No duplicates in the database or on disk now. More error messages! There is more error trapping if a file doesn't upload the album should tell you and give some reason. Security added in the form of SQL Insertion protection. There are funtions that filter illegal charaters and illegal words. Bug Fixes: DB doesn't get a record if the file doesn't exist on disk. Now handles spaces in user names. Admin page honors secure admin mode properly now instead of erroring out.
Thanks for all those kinds souls who have downloaded it and helped make it better.

One thing, Wes ...
When uploading a series of photos, [or, in my case, trying to - still haven't resolved that issue we discussed! - Still waiting on my ISP.] the album selection always defaults back to "Main Album." It might be helpful if that drop-down remembered the last choice ... so that if uploading, say, 5 photos, all to one album, that setting would remain set at the album you were uploading to.
Just a little suggestion ... |

Ok, This version seems stable and I can't find any more bugs in it. Ok, I'm starting the request list for features for the next version. Nothing is too big or too small. Please post your request here and I will see what can be done to work it in. Please read the first post on this thread for changes. The next version will more than likely be the last version with any major feature additions. It will probably take me more than a week to add the new features requested as well :).
Thanks everyone!

I think I found a bug... it doesn't like filenames that have spaces in 'em.
FOr example: pic2 copy.jpg
Had to rename my file: pic2copy.jpg otherwise the thumbnail feature wouldn't work (I'm not using the "thumbnailer" - just letting it resize for me.

Great!
Just implemented it to my forum. Testing it and seems to work fine.
I would like to implement some kind of function where you can read more about the users.
For ex. when you look at a members album you also would be able to obtain information about that user from the profile. Maybe at the album pages ( turning on and of fields in the adminpage)ore by redirecting to the members profile page. Also it would be great if it worked the other way around. In members profile there could be some kind of note (with link) that this member got an album.
The popup I think could have a ”selfclose” button. How abut internationalization?
Still, fantastic work made here!

Didn't test with spaces in file names. I'll check it out today. Should be an easy fix. I'll add going to profiles to the album. I don't know if I wan't to modify the profile page to go the other way. I will add it to the next feature list and see what it takes. I thought about the selfclose thing, it would mean passing a paramater to another display page and showing that page in a popup.
List: Links to album and to profile Close me on the pop up window If uploading multiple files remember last album |

In the newest version: when in single album mode trying to upload a file, a user gets the error: "File did not upload to system please contact the system administrator" But an administrator can upload just fine... |

oh, so users cannot upload to the admin album for pending approval in single album mode?
I was logging on as a normal user and trying to go directly to the upload page for the admin's album... |

Users upload photos the same ether in single or multi album mode. Doesn't matter if the album is set in single user or approve mode.
