When I load search.asp then it takes "forever"!
My guess that it's the user list (I got well over 7000 members) that takes the time.

Is there way to disable search by member?

It's slow here too. On my dialup it was a couple minutes to open. When the search form appeared, I saved the source and it was a bit over 1mb.

That's because of the select box with all the member names in it. Last time I checked search.asp that box was replaced with a text field and would be like that on these forums only.

But I just downloaded yesterday and here it was not changed. Can you tell me where to find the fix?

About 12 hours ago, Richard replaced some of the files with the originals from v3.4 distribution. I think it is for testing the latest bug reports...

I'm sure he will put the textbox back after he is done, so that the database is searchable again (for us low bandwidth guys)...

Stop the WAR!

It was a MOD for this site only... There is no code made downloadable after the release of v3.4.

the slow page loading because it was loading over 19000 members into the Memberlist select box was fixed here.

What you see is something different.

I regards to the subject for this topic, yes, it is fixed here.

I forgot to change one of the lines when I removed the select box, so all should be working now

Can we have the code to fix this for our own websites as well? With my over 7000 members it's also very slow and I would love to do the same fix.
