I change the include to inc_func_common.asp

I still get the same area, except on the differnt line now....

mLev = cint(chkUser(strDBNTUserName, Request.Cookies(strUniqueID & "User")("Pword")))

Please note: keep in mind that this loginpage came from Snitz Exch... file name called "inc_login.asp"

That must be a piece of old code 'cause that's not used in any of the current 3.4 files. Could you tell me which file is giving that error?

Well there's your problem. The login file was made using 3.3.x files and the codes have been changed for 3.4. I'm afraid you won't be able to use that file anymore.
Maybe someone will write a new one (I'd do it but don't have time for it now), but until then you'll either have to manually make it work, or not have an external login on your site.

I am very interested in getting this to work, but I think I'll wait for the next bug-fix release before I start implementing any mods.

If @tomic hasn't already done so, you must make the two fixes in that file as suggested by RichardKinser.
