We probably all know the effects of quoted quotes.. Like this:
quote: blabla
quote: some more talking
quote: and even more

What about this replacing quoted qoutes with "[..]" ? An example:
quote:FooBar wrote on 14/8/2002 @ 05:03: [..] and even more
This means that older quoted text is replaced with the [..] so a user knows there was already an older text quoted before. But instead of the mess it's a lot better to look at

I agree with OneWayMule although I do see a point in what you're saying. Perhaps if that happens often on your forums you should teach your members not to use the "reply with quote" all the time, and delete quotes that aren't relevant anymore.
I don't quote anyone unless the post is several replies back, or if the subject is different and my reply won't make sense out of context.
