is it possible to add another "member type"?

I'm trying to build a clanforum and want only certain people "clanmembers" to see things like events and so.

For doing that you can edit the properties for a forum and then selcect the members of it!

I think I saw something about new member types in 3.4 and i hope that's true. One is fix is if you clan folks have some sort of prefix on their names(AA_Membername) you could add a bit of code that looks for that:
If left("AA_",3) then
get to see it
else
that's just too bad
end if

One suggestion: Edit the profile for the users that you want to be a clan member and simply enter "Clan Member" in the Title box - just below the username under Basic! By doing that the title "Clan Member" will show below the authors name in posts.

You could also add a field to the members table.

1 = clansman
0 = non-clansman
