I have attempted to use the MOD Setup option numerous times but nothing happens. The process stays on the Admin menu and goes nowhere. It does however lock the forum database which i can only seem to unlock by rebooting the server!??! (does anyone know an alternative for this?)

I read somewhere about "Richards non-fso mod setup file". What is this and where do i get it? Also is there a reason why the MOD Setup option isnt working on my forum?

Thanks

Thanks for the info, i have tried disabling the virus software and am using MS Access 2000 in the config.asp but still no sucess. I then installed Richards MOD...but what do I do now? What do i paste into the test box? Im trying to use Active Users 4.0.

Sorry if youve heard all this before, i DID try a search for the answer, honest!

You'll have to open the dbs_ file that came with the MOD in a text editor. Copy the contents and paste those in the text field.

If you open the dbs_activeusers.asp file all the text to copy is in there.

Actually, I found a small workaround for my problem that may help you with this. I opened up my database in Access and found that my admin member name was actually number 4 instead of number 1 so I changed the number in config.asp to 4 and I can use the MOD setup all day long now... not sure if that helps you out, but it made things easier for me!
