Hi,

I'm about to change my hosting company for my forum. May I know if a unix server with support for Mysql and perl but ChiliASP not installed, can it be used for the snitz forum? Is Windows 2000 server a better choice for snitz forum over unix?

Thank you.

You will definitely need ChiliSoft for Snitz to work. Win2000 is probably a better choice for Snitz, but then Unix may be more stable (oops .... I can hear the flame war now )

No it cannot. You need ASP support to run Snitz, and you don't have ASP on Unix able to support Snitz without ChiliASP.

I would definitely say so.

Thank you for the answer. Seems like I will have to choose the Windows server.

You're welcome .

If you can choose a Windows 2000 server, that's the best option for hosting a Snitz forum indeed.
