I don't understand what this means:

quote:
SETUP
You can extract the following files to your forum folder without any problems:
admin_ban_ip.asp
pop_ban_ip.asp
dbs_ban_ip.asp
icon_ban_ip.gif

For the rest of the files, you will need to copy and paste the code into your files, that have the same file name as the ones in the zip.
All code that have been added are clearly commented. Just do a search for "Ban IP Mod" or look for this:
' ####################### Ban IP Mod #######################

Do I just upload all of the files or what? I uploaded the four that it says to upload but I don't understand if it wants me to just copy the code to REPLACE the old code or actually upload the other files themselves.

It just means to copy the code from the files that came with the mod, to your forum files. The changes in the file have been commented out. Just do a search for Ban IP in the files and you will see what code to copy over to your forum files.

What does commented mean?

Also, where in the file do I put them? For example, from one of the mod files:

quote:
<td bgcolor="<% =strForumCellColor %>" valign=top><font face="<% =strDefaultFontFace %>" size="<% =strDefaultFontSize %>">
<p><b>Other Configuration Options and Features:</b>
<UL>
<LI><a href="admin_ban_ip.asp">Ban Users</a></LI><% ' ######## Ban IP Mod ######## %>
<LI><a href="admin_moderators.asp">Moderator Setup</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_emaillist.asp">Email List</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_info.asp">Server Information</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_variable_info.asp">Forum Variables Information</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_count.asp">Update Forum Counts</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_forums.asp">Archive Forum Topics</a></LI>
<LI><a href="admin_mod_dbsetup.asp">MOD Setup</a></LI>
<LI><a href="setup.asp">Check Installation</a><font size="-2"><b> (Run after each upgrade !)</b></font></LI>
</UL></p>
</font></td>

Which part do I put in? and where?

In the case above, the red line is the code you have to copy & paste.
The files Davio included in the .zip file are there to show where you have to insert the code.

Thanks, now i have a REAL easy question.

When in the mod setup, it has a checkbox in "Delete dbs when finished?"

I'm afraid to do it without knowing what that is. Should I have it delete it or no?

What is the dbs file? Thanks.

The database upgrade is done by a script that reads the necessary information out of a .dbs file.

You won't need the dbs file after installing a mod successfully.
