This another request for info on how to set this board up for admin authorized users only.
I have followed the trail of threads from this link http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28870 as instructed in my original post, all without success. It seems once I get past syntax errors, expected this, expected that errors, the user is not registered at all.
I originally attempted to impliment the Authorized registrations from this page http://ls3k.com/snitz/mods.asp finding there is a ton of unnecessary code. References to random e-mail passwords etc.
Ultimately, I would like to accomplish the following.
1. Private forum only, no users access until authorized by administrators.
2. New registration requests would appear as messages to the admin or selected user and possibly e-mailed as well.
3. Use authentication process for this forum for additional "members only" pages on our site. (I think I can accomplish this one once I get past registration issues).
Thanks for any help y ou can afford.
